Footage sourced from home movies shot by a distant relative in my family of reunions from the 1920s until the 1960s. The audio track is cut from a digitization of a recording originally created in 1978, which was transferred to tape deck in 1987, of a slide projection shown to my great grandparents. I chose images and audio relating to the characters reacting to the lens, which is my gateway into getting to know these ancestors. I’m impressed with the archiving habits of my relatives. in loving memory of my grandfather.

Installation: digital projection on personal oil painting. Placed in an intimate gallery setting to add to the meditative experience of the space.
